2016-2017 Tulsa Power To End Stroke
Saturday, May 13, 2017

1 in 3 African Americans suffer from high blood pressure which is the leading cause of stroke. Yet so few African Americans are aware of these risk factors. Tulsa's Power to End Stroke Brunch held by the American Heart Association combines gospel music and heart health information in the hopes of educating and improving the awareness of African Americans to their risks of cardiovascular disease.

The annual event features free health screenings, educational break out sessions, valued exhibitors featuring local health initiatives and a brunch packed with great music and information. This year will feature live entertainment from six-time Stellar Award winner and GRAMMY Award nominated recording artist and songwriter, VaShawn Mitchell. Our host church, Metropolitan Baptist Church, will be providing an incredible background chorus to Mr. Mitchell.

This event could not be possible without our Signature Sponsor, St. John Heyman Stroke Center. Another key element is our Ambassadors. Each Ambassador is committed to wiping out heart disease and becoming a heart healthy example for their family, friends and community.

Join us this year for the 9th Annual Power to End Stroke Brunch!
