The American Heart Association Sweethearts and Mavericks are high school sophomores who actively participate in a program designed to teach them about heart healthy lifestyles and the prevention of heart disease through education and volunteerism. The Tulsa Heart Ball has raised more than $10,000,000 for the important work of the American Heart Association in the last 49 years as we fight cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Hi my name is Taylor Perkins and I am participating in the 2020 Heart Ball and fundraising for the American Heart Association. This fundraiser means a lot to me because last year I lost my grandpa to a heart attack. It was sudden and he was too young. This past summer I was able to volunteer at Saint Francis Hospital in the Specialty Cardiac unit. These two experiences make me want to learn more about the heart and spread awareness.
